OUT OF DEATH

As much as it sounds like it is, Out of Death isn't the next Steven Seagal film. Instead, it's the latest vehicle for Bruce Willis that is yet another example of just how low the bar has sunk for his career with a crime thriller that you'll want to switch off as soon as Willis utters his first words.

A corrupt Sheriff's department in a rural mountain town comes undone when an unintended witness (Jaime King) throws a wrench into their shady operation.

Out of Death is a terrible film, there's no two ways about it. As soon as it finished I had instantly forgotten everything that had just happened and there isn't a redeemable feature of the film I can think of. Everything about it feels so lackadaisical that there's not much point in trying to make it to the end in all honesty.

The distinct lack of effort it feels went into making the film seems almost like an insult to any audience willing to actually pay money to watch it.

What the hell has happened to Bruce Willis?! The once great and hugely charismatic performer is now churning out turkey after turkey in what has actually become a bit of a depressing lull. He's so not bothered by even trying to put in a decent performance in Out of Death and it really shows with every scene he appears in, each line delivery sounding as laboured as the next. Jaime King doesn't fare any better really but at least she tries to inject some energy into proceedings.

Honestly, don't bother even watching this if you really value your time. I clearly don't.

Coming to Digital Download from August 2nd & DVD from October 4th.

  1. Your review couldn't have been any more on point.

It was as if Willis was acting like a bad actor. I watched it for the fact that I absolutely couldn't get past how unbelievably bad this actually was.

  2. What a shitty movie. The worst Willis ever. A damn shame. I can't even believe this movie was made.
